Colloidal Silver Information

There is a large volume of evidence that shows that true colloidal silver kills pathogens and boosts the immune system. This is especially relevant with the upcoming flu and cold season coming up. Unless you’ve actually experienced the success of treating infections or healing wounds, you may be skeptical about how ingesting silver into ones body could be effective. In simple terms, silver is able to kill bacteria by penetrating its cell walls, altering the structure nucleus, and therefore, eliminating the ability for the bacteria to survive.

Why doesn’t silver hurt us? Simple really – human and animal cells are stronger than bacteria and impervious to silver. True colloidal silver is not only effective as an antibiotic, but also for healing wounds and reconstructing and repairing lost or damaged cells.

Colloidal silver supplements have received a lot of negative press with claims a condition, called argyria, which can (only when taken in quantities well over the recommended dose) result in the skin turning a gray color. True colloidal silver products will not cause argyria thanks to having extremely small particle size and low concentrations of ionic silver.

The Colloidal Science Laboratory conducted tests on many products labeled colloidal silver. Very few achieve the status of true colloidal silver due to the expense of production. The following chart shows three products defined as true colloidal silver with Mesosilver having the largest particle surface area.

How was this accomplished? This is a result of extremely small (<1 nanometer) particles and a high concentration of silver. The large particle surface area is also the reason that true colloidal silver is the most effective.
